The best routes are to take to the process of creating business plans and the industry you are interested in research

I recommend you to the SBA to review an entrepreneur, start up the journal and Nolo. All 4 are excellent sources of information for the new owner or small business. I posted links for you in the source area.

Partnerships can be a good way to explore. These organizations cover a wide range of ideas, issues and concerns that inevitably arise, and many of those who have not yet planned. See the source box for some relevant links.

Research, research, research - this can not be overemphasized. Read everything you about the industry. Here are some book titles that are relevant:

* The Complete Guide to Garden Center Management, John Stanley
* Establishing and maintaining a garden center: requirements and costs (NRAES (series), 161.) from the agriculture, engineering and Cooperative Extension Service, Natural Resources
* You want to start a nursery place from Tony Avent

Idaho-specific
* How it worksor a company in Idaho by Entrepreneur Press
* Start and operate a business in Idaho: A Step-by-Step Guide by Michael D. Jenkins

There are many resources of free information out there. Check the source box for links to articles.

I hope that helps! I wish you much success and happiness in all your undertakings!
